Charities Sector Image

Alpha Research has a reputation for conducting robust research across the population, including many hard to reach and excluded groups. Through our work with local authorities, social landlords, charitable and voluntary organisations and the healthcare sector we have explored the views of people from all backgrounds and lifestyles, often engaging on difficult and sensitive topics.

This has included much work with environmental charities such as the British Trust for Conservation Volunteers, the Campaign for Rural England and various wildlife trusts, for example to evaluate the services offered by these agencies, or to gauge opinion on parks, green belt land or housing developments.

Over 14,000 people with Parkinson’s and their families also helped us to complete the largest UK survey of what it is like living with the disease on a day-to-day basis, for Parkinson’s UK.

Alpha Research were asked to run a repeat of a research programme that was last carried out in 2009, and I was impressed that Wendy took time to come in and talk to us about how we could build on the earlier research and improve it. This was much appreciated by me, as someone new to the role, and I found her really approachable and friendly, as well as providing useful input into what we could add to make the research as productive as possible. Alpha’s scheduling was good and they kept us in the loop on progress, delivering everything on time. What really pleased me was that the final report for the CEO and directors was also delivered punctually at the agreed time.
